Investment casting

An investment casting is a type of casting process where a mold is created around a wax model of the desired object. The mold is then filled with a ceramic material, which hardens and creates a negative of the wax model. The wax model is then melted away, leaving a hollow space in the mold which can be filled with molten metal.
